Hiring Diverse Interns: More Than Meets the Eye

City University of New York (CUNY), in partnership with the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and The Rockefeller Foundation launched the Cultural Corps internship program to help expand and diversify the candidate pool for internships at local cultural institutions. The Cultural Corps program recognizes that diversity recruiting is only half the job. The other half is addressing what happens to students when they get to their placement. Cultural Corps will facilitate a conversation with a few of their partners to talk about what they are doing to make their organizations inclusive for interns, and will brainstorm with the audience ways to address challenges in inclusion work.
